Construction Alert: De Soto and Terrace Street Closure on Saturday, April 26

Both lanes of De Soto Street and a majority of the western sidewalk (UPMC Presbyterian side) will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 26. This is in addition to the existing closure at the UPMC site. Terrace Street will also be closed beginning at Sutherland Drive.

Those looking to park at UPMC Western Psychiatric will be allowed entrance via Terrace Street. Flaggers will be present at the Terrace Street/Sutherland Drive intersection to manage traffic. Pedestrians and cyclists may still use the eastern sidewalk (UPMC Western Psychiatric side). Cyclists should dismount from their bicycle or scooter and walk it along the sidewalk. The sidewalks on Terrace Street will remain open.

The entrances to UPMC Presbyterian and Alan Magee Scaife Hall on De Soto Street will remain accessible, but the rest of the sidewalk along UPMC Presbyterian will be closed. This closure includes the loading dock.

Signs for recommended detours will be posted throughout the area.
