Dan graduated from Robert Morris College 1982 with a Bachelor’s in Science and Business Administration. After graduation, Dan worked for the public accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney and became a Certified Public Accountant. In 1987, Dan joined the University of Pittsburgh’s Internal Audit Department. He moved into Facilities Management in 1991 where he became the Senior Manager of Contract Administration and Procurement. In 2005, he was promoted to Assistant Vice Chancellor, Administration Facilities Management where he managed contract administration and procurement, operating and capital budgets, project accounting, human resources, IT, and invoice processing. In 2011, he served as the University’s first Sustainability Coordinator until June 2016. In October 2023, Dan moved into the newly created Planning, Design, and Construction Department as the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Administration and Capital Project Accounting.
