The flèche (also referred to as the ‘spire’) of Heinz Chapel is over 85 years old, with the building being completed in 1938. To maintain structural stability and care for the spire materials that have deteriorated over the years, the decorative copper cladding pieces were removed for refurbishment and the underlying steel structure repaired and painted. The project is estimated to be completed in spring 2025.
